Cambridge/shire - but we also incubate international projects.
Alongside running volunteering opportunities and placements, Cambridge Hub also incubates new projects. In practice, this means we work with students and community partners to launch innovative ideas which tackle local social and environmental issues.
We provide a variety of tailored support to individual students and groups starting up new projects. This includes in-person training and coaching, written resources and introductions to useful contacts. Get in touch and see how we can help at incubation@cambridgehub.org, no matter what stage you're at. We work with students and local groups from thinking of ideas to setting up a project, over to offering our infrastructure to help them deliver a pilot project, and then setting up on their own!
We aim to create a double benefit for both students and the local community. We do this by connecting students, sharing skills and knowledge, and giving practical opportunities to innovate.
This support could involve:
1:1 conversations about your idea or project
Arranging meetings between individuals with related interests and ideas
Training sessions on areas such as ideation, project management, finance.. you name it!
Connecting you up with local entrepreneurs, funders, and advisors
Connecting you up with over 100 student groups and 150 local organisations - as well as major centres for innovation and development across the city and wider region.
At Cambridge Hub, previous projects we have incubated include:
