Calling all students and postdocs of the University of Cambridge!
CamBridge2Environment is a student-led initiative, born out of a desire to connect university students with numerous fantastic volunteer-run organisations around Cambridge through a shared passion for the environment. It is run by former attendees of the Engage for Change programme.
Want to
  • Put your passion for the environment to good use?
  • Learn more about local environmental organisations?
  • Have enriching discussions around a variety of important environmental themes?
  • Make a difference in your local community?
Programme details
Each week, students will typically spend one day or evening volunteering with a different organisation. This will be complemented by a talk or discussion around the particular weekly theme, one evening of the corresponding week. The initiative will run for the first time in Michaelmas Term 2018 with partner organisations including Cambridge Carbon Footprint, FoodCycle, CamCycle and Transition Cambridge. The themes that we will address through volunteering and discussions are:
  • Food & Gardening
  • Waste & Circular Economy
  • Energy & Travel
  • Climate Change & Biodiversity
The programme will begin on Monday 8th of October and run for 7 weeks, ending on Sunday the 25th of November (NB: We follow a normal Mon-Sun week, not Cambridge week). You are expected to attend one discussion session (week day evening) and one volunteering session (typically on the weekend) during each week of the programme. If you require any more details about the programme, please contact us at cb2env@cambridgehub.org.

This programme is open to all current students and postdocs of the University of Cambridge.
